In this position, you will be responsible for enhancing the reputation of Wells Fargo s Specialized Lending, Servicing and Trust (SLST) division through proactive storytelling and media relations management. Strong emphasis in this position will be placed on issues/reputation management within the Corporate Trust business as well as promoting business successes within the Community Lending & Investment and Multifamily Housing businesses. Develop and execute innovative communications strategies for both proactive and reactive external communications. Reduce reputation risk by mitigating negative news stories. Manage day-to-day media inquiries. Ensure that business and communications goals are properly aligned. Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional, national and trade press, and utilize those contacts for ongoing, strategic outreach to tell the Wells Fargo story. Develop a strategy to utilize Social Media as part of the overall strategic communications plan. Write and disseminate press releases, media statements and message points, and creatively utilize other mediums (as appropriate) to help tell the SLST story. Communicate regularly with business leaders to ensure communications remains a core part of the business strategy. Track and measure the impact of media relations work and report progress regularly to management. Closely collaborate with Regional Banking communicators. Work with Marketing and Internal Communications colleagues to communicate news to team members.Basic Qualifications: 6+ years communications experience.Minimum Qualifications: - 6+ years communications experience, with a minimum of 3 years media relations experience - Excellent writing and verbal communications skills required. - Demonstrated strategic thinking and tactical execution skills - Proven track record in creating and executing successful public relations campaigns with national news media. - Previous issues/crisis management experience strongly preferred. - Exceptional competency in multi-tasking, follow through and time management - Must enjoy collaboration and have a positive, flexible attitude - Occasional travel throughout the US as needed.Preferred Skills: Bachelor''s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field.
