speed on standards like ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and
HIPAA and be ready to lead our efforts toward
them. Experience and process are important, but
you need to be able to walk the walk too. Hands on
software development, operations, and penetration
testing experience are a must. You should be
current on the latest security research and how it
impacts our platform and our customers
applications.
Heroku is looking for a security leader to join
our team and help us advance the state of the art
in cloud security. You will work closely with all
areas of Heroku to shape our security policy. You
should be as comfortable talking with customer
CISOs as you are communicating with internal
engineering teams.
As the CISO at Heroku you will be responsible for
all aspects of our security posture. Some of your
responsibilites will include
Owning the overall Heroku information security and
threat response policies.
Leading the efforts toward compliance with
industry certifications and standards such as ISO
27001, PCI-DSS, and HIPAA.
Working with customers and partners to communicate
our security practices.
Mentoring engineering teams on the ever evolving
security best practices.
Educating customers on cloud application security
patterns.
Several years of experience in information
security.
Very strong communication skills and the desire to
share the Heroku security story and advance the
state of the art in cloud security.
Previous team leadership experience.
Experience with industry standards compliance
processes.
Personal developer experience. Everyone at Heroku
can code.
