The successful candidate must have the ability to diagnose and resolve problems on a variety of electronic and mechanical instruments and work independently. Additional responsibilities include; Technical Support with customers, feedback and interactions with Instrumentation Support, Manufacturing and Sales as required. Documentation, reports and data entry must be completed as required for assigned position. The Field Service Technician will also represent the company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal. Maintain and service our customers to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:* Two to three years of field experience is preferred* Two year degree or Technical Certification required * Proven ability to diagnose and resolve problems on electronic and mechanical instrumentation in a scientific laboratory environment* Ability to read, interpret and analyze schematics, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams is required * Good communication skills, self motivated and an effective team player * Ability for physical requirements to include the ability to lift 50lbs* Up to 60% travel may be required to meet customer needs * Must possess a valid driver&rsquo;s licenseThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of the work being performed by people assigned to this job.
