As a Consultant with Resources Global Professionals you will have the ability to play an instrumental role in assisting healthcare clients in a variety of challenging projects that will make a meaningful positive impact on their ability to provide safe, high quality, accessible health care.Consultants in these roles are involved in leading revenue cycle implementation projects; completing revenue cycle assessments; assisting with revenue cycle turn around/redesign projects; assisting clients with navigating reimbursement changes being brought on by healthcare reform; developing metrics to better manage revenue cycle functions; and/or providing interim management services.Our consultants operate in highly matrixed client environments often with exposure to C-level executives and organizational leaders. Applicants require excellent communications and indirect influencing capabilities combined with a strong technical background. S/he will have the ability to work independently or collaboratively.Professional QualificationsSuccessful candidates will have the following skills:* In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end healthcare revenue cycle continuum (e.g., front, middle, back).* Operational experience in one or more of the following: Patient Access, Charge Integrity, Denials Management and Recovery, Patient Accounting, Patient Financial Services.* Systems experience in one or more of the following: EPIC, Sorian, SMS, McKesson, Invision, HBOC, MEDITECH, Eclipsys.* Experience interacting with vendors (e.g., clearinghouses).* Involvement leading or participating in the RFP process and working with vendors to select system solutions.* Knowledge of UB-04, MA claim form, HCFA-1500, other claim forms, claims eligibility, claims status, EDI, claims payments, and understanding of setting up and managing electronic transactions.* An in-depth subject matter expertise and dedication to remaining current with industry and/or relevant legislative changes and advances.* Acquaintance/familiarity with the Federal Register, and it''s impact on healthcare operations.* Intermediate project management experience (e.g., lead meetings, draft status reports, develop / manage project plans, track issues/risk logs, develop / monitor resource plans, etc).* Ability to probe, analyze, synthesize and articulate complex subject matter so it can be easily understood.* Strong ability to document, design, assess, and/or re-engineer complex processes.* Experience and comfort working at all levels of an organization. * Willingness to perform many levels of project work, sometimes simultaneously, to ensure project success.* Demonstrated ability to present options for problem resolution.* A high degree of self-motivation, integrity, versatility and flexibility.* Bachelors Degree.* 8+ years of healthcare industry or consulting experience.* Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibility.Preferred Qualifications* EHR / EMR system certification.* PMP and Six Sigma certifications.* Experience with ICD-10, HIPAA 5010, Meaningful Use, HIE, and EHR implementation and/or optimization projects.* Familiarity with RAC auditing and/or experience successfully responding to RAC audit inquiries.* Advanced degrees, healthcare administration certifications, and other relevant industry certifications.
