The Medical Center also provides professional education and basic biomedical, clinical and behavioral research. Today, with its 1,254 licensed acute care beds and 25 residential beds, California Pacific Medical Center is one of the largest private, non-profit academic medical centers in California.Primary Purpose:The Housekeeping Aide performs a variety of cleaning and housekeeping tasks. The Housekeeping Aide ensures that the Medical Center is provided with a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and employees.* High School diploma or equivalent required* Work experience as a housekeeper highly preferred* Hospital or hotel housekeeping experience highly preferred* The ability to communicate, written and verbally in the English language is required* Must be flexible with changes in work schedule* Demonstrates a positive work ethic, initiative, good judgement and is safety conscious* Must be able to handle changing priorities* Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds* Candidate will be required to pass a criminal and educational background check as well as a pre-employment physical which includes a drug screening
