They will be focused on defined industry sectors and accounts in order to drive data security sales opportunities of $150K and higher.Candidates should have strong sales subject matter expertise (SME) in the following technologies: encryption, data security assessments, data loss prevention, data centric security, Guardium & Optim, and DBMS reference architecture security. They should have experience in managing OEM data security product sales as part of an overall transaction. Experience working with 3rd party service providers for sales pursuit from proposal to POC to sales implementation especially with IBM, Symantec, Verdasys, & Fidelis products. Must have an intermediate understanding of IT concepts specifically as it applies to middleware and integrating enabling software.The position will encompass selling IBM''s complete portfolio of data security solutions across North America with specific focus on Finance, Public Sector, Distribution, and General Business accounts in the US. This position will also help drive and define the data security domain and offering pursuits for North America.As an opportunity owner, you will be required to develop data security services opportunities in established accounts & support new business opportunities in new and/or emerging accounts. Duties will include identifying, defining, and closing sales opportunities; determining engagement scope & price projections; formulating overall solution; and functioning as the Data Security Sales subject matter expert for North America. Additional duties include proposal development, sales territory management, validating sales opportunities, progressing deals through sales stages, and ensuring high customer satisfaction with sales deliverables.The ideal candidate must have demonstrable consulting sales skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, possess efficient use of personal productivity applications such as MS Office and MS Powerpoint, and must possess ability to lead a multi-discipline extended sales team throughout all stages of the sales cycle.Strong SME knowledge and ability to function as both a consultant and sales leader to drive the data security business.Experience selling in a specific sector or industry with deep industry knowledge is also desirable.Required* At least 5 years experience in security solution sales* At least 3 years experience in successfully closing large, complex data security deals with documented success* At least 3 years experience in a role as a subject matter expert as both a consultant and a sales leader to drive the data security business* Readiness to travel 50% travel annually* English: FluentPreferred* Bachelor''s Degree* At least 5 years experience in successfully closing large, complex data security deals with documented success* At least 5 years experience in a role as a subject matter expert as both a consultant and a sales leader to drive the data security business* Certified in CISSP or equivalent certificationAdditional informationIBM Global Technology Services, the largest Information Technology services provider in the world, integrates IBM
