<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Under general supervision, the Senior Building
Maintenance Worker performs routine semi-skilled
and unskilled maintenance, alterations, and
repairs to electrical lighting equipment for
campus buildings and related facilities using
appropriate tools and equipment. The incumbent
assists the journeyman Electrician with tasks
related to lighting maintenance, replacement, or
installation of lighting systems and equipment.
The incumbent identifies malfunctions or problems
and reports to the journeyman electrician. The
position performs routine and/or unskilled repairs
or replacements of lighting ballasts, lamps,
connectors and diffusers and performs other
related duties like operating and maintaining a
variety of power or hand tools transporting
materials and personnel to and from job sites
cleaning up job sites, returning equipment and
follows all safety procedures. In addition, when
required, the incumbent shall perform Building
Maintenance Worker duties including, but not
limited to moving furniture, boxes and fixtures,
cleaning mechanical rooms, laboratory and office
space, replacing ceiling tile, performing assigned
maintenance tasks on systems and equipment,
assisting skilled trades journeymen in all
disciplines, clearing blocked toilet drains, roof
drains. The incumbent will also perform other
related duties as assigned.
