The Litigation Support Specialist LSS is responsible for delivering specific litigation support services to case teams under the direction of the Litigation Support Project Managers assigned to the individual cases.  The LSS is responsible for performing the actual hands-on data processing tasks including data loads, document productions, ESI processing and any other data-centric tasks assigned by project managers throughout the department.
The LSS functions as a secondary point of contact for case team attorneys, paralegals and vendors involved with the case.  The LSS assists Litigation Support Project Managers with planning and budgeting as it relates to litigation support services assists project managers with database design and implementation provides data processing recommendations to case teams processes data and resolves exceptions using in-house tools creates and loads data into databases and assists with all aspects of document productions including imaging, CD/DVD burning and remote file transfer.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Process discovery data using in-house tools and technologies.
Resolve data processing exceptions.
Design and maintain litigation support document review databases.
Assist project managers with the management of large scale eDiscovery projects through completion.
Design and maintain scan/print/OCR projects.
Technical data management and quality control activities including data loading into database applications, image loading into image viewing applications, manipulating data, preparing copies of data sets for delivery by various media forms, building document image production sets, and database maintenance.
Loading and maintaining data, video and image collections on the network.
Preparing document images and data for production in a variety of litigation support software formats.
Quality checking data and images received from third party sources and vendor.
Identify  communicate challenges to project managers regarding database designs recommend solutions and modifications to databases where appropriate.
Establish consistent and ongoing relationships with project managers to ensure proper understanding of case team needs and delivery of best available solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be specifically listed on resume in order to be considered for this position.
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience is required.
Must possess a minimum of two years experience working in a professional business environment.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in a law firm or vendor environment with knowledge of the litigation process from initial filing through trial preferred.
The ideal candidate will be proficient with Relativity, Concordance, IPRO, LiveNote and CaseMap.
Experience with processing engines is a major plus.
Experience with leading Litigation Support software platforms required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to advise all levels of personnel on complex technical issues.
Strong organizational skills, effective interpersonal skills to work with all levels of personnel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines.
Flexibility to work overtime on short notice and ability to travel is necessary.
