<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Medical Director EHSLocation: California-San Francisco-San FranciscoOther Locations: California-San Francisco-San FranciscoThe Employee Health/Occupational Medicine (EH/OM) Medical Director is responsible for the medical leadership and management of employee health and occupational medicine services to employees of California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) and the San Francisco division of the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation (SPMF) primarily, and secondarily has oversight accountabilities for medical protocol and regulatory compliance of the on-site employee health and occupational medicine services provided to employees in other affiliates within the Sutter Health West Bay Region (SHWBR) (Novato Community Hospital, Sutter Lakeside Hospital, Sutter Medical Center of Santa Rosa and the North Bay division of the Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation). The position is based in San Francisco, with occasional travel to the other affiliates within the West Bay region as least once per quarter, to ensure oversight responsibilities. In partnership with the Nurse Practitioner/Manager of Employee Health Services, the Medical Director will assure a fully compliant operation that manages on the job injury cases and services the affected staff across the full spectrum of services normally provided within Employee Health/ Occupational Medicine. The EH/OM Medical Director will assure that clinical services delivered are compliant with all laws and regulations, consistent with ACOEM guidelines and aligned with SHWBR objectives and workers' compensation metric targets.POSITION REQUIREMENTS :Education: M.D. or D.O. Degree with Post Graduate training in Occupational Medicine Board Certified or eligible in Occupational Medicine Certification as a Medical Review OfficerHold an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of CaliforniaBe permitted to prescribe medications and hold a valid DEA permitKnowledge: Knowledge of treatment and prevention of occupational diseaseExperienced in providing workers' compensation treatment services in the State of California and be proficient in using American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM) protocols for treatment of work injuries, and AMA Guides to Permanent Impairment.Skills:Good rapport, able to build trust with patientsAbility to retain primary treating physician statusAbility to oversee and influence cases that are referred to specialist(s)Ability to assess permanent disability under AMA and write PR-4'sAbility to close cases with the patient when additional treatment is not beneficialAbility to effectively collaborate with return to work coordinators and claims staffExperience:Five years leadership experience in Occupational Medicine
