Sterilmed, a member of Johnson Johnsons Family of Companies, is recruiting for a part-time On-Site Technician in the San Francisco, CA area working 9 hours per week.
Sterilmed is a nationally recognized company that safely reprocesses single-use medical devices for hospitals and surgery centers across the country. We take great pride in saving hundreds of millions of dollars for the health care system while simultaneously diverting thousands of tons of biomedical waste from landfills. Medical device reprocessing is an FDA-regulated industry and is endorsed by the AHA, AORN, CMS and the Joint Commission.
Key duties include
Establish and maintain customer relations
Weekly communication with key contacts in assigned accounts and with Sterilmed team members
Device management Preparation, sorting, and shipping of medical devices to be reprocessed
Continual process improvement on collection methods and pathway troubleshooting
Providing in-services and business reviews
Help to drive the reprocessing initiatives and increase collections
Desired qualifications include
Completion of Surgical Technology program or certification is preferred
Knowledge of medical devices is essential
Prior experience in an OR setting with Central Sterile or similar environment where decontamination and preparation of surgical instruments was performed
Customer Support experience a plus
Excellent verbal and written skills
Proficient in MS Office
Highly motivated and organized
Problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
Travel It will be necessary to travel between assigned hospital sites using your own vehicle
