<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Operations and Lab ManagerAs Lab Manager for the Ion Torrent business unit of Life Technologies, ensure a high-level of laboratory site coordination for the management of reagent/material supply, and operational logistics of three R&D and Production facilities located in MA, CT and CA.* Laboratory management to ensure consistent inventory of rR&D supplies.* Organization and maintenance of standardized workstations across sites. Help with organization of new workflows.* Contribute to the organization of Ion Torrent lab supplies, consumables, and infrastructure as to afford successful support and launch activities.* Work across the organization to develop integrated laboratory plans for the three Ion Torrent R&D and Production facilities.* Comply with all company safety regulations and procedures. Ensure compliance of assigned staff.Experience:BS and/or MS degree in a Scientific/Engineering or Manufacturing/Operations discipline.Recommended to have > 2 years of Laboratory Management experience, preferably in a Life Sciences environment. Has the ability to work across organizational boundaries &#x2013; R&D, Product Management, Field Service, Quality, Operations, Finance, etc. to get the job done.Key knowledge includes:* Solid laboratory management and operational expertise.* Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently required.* Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to efficiently evaluate, prioritize and handle multiple and changing projects and priorities.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills as to afford effective operational coordination.Job position to be set in South San Francisco, CA. Must be able to travel and work overtime and flexible shifts.
