JOB SUMMARY:

The Regulatory Principal leads the analytic work
and guides staff analysts in support of regulatory
proceedings of varying levels of complexity,
scope, and financial impact. Leads cross-
functional teams and maintains strategic and
analytical oversight. May also serve as a witness
on complex regulatory and analytical issues.
Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelors degree in Statistics, Quantitative
Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics
Minimum of 10 years of experience in using
econometric/quantitative techniques to perform
analysis and forecasting, preferably for electric
and gas load.
Experience in SAS, VBA and/or other high
programming language.
Ability to travel 10% May require occasional
travel to regulatory agencies for hearings,
workshops, or meetings. May also require
occasional irregular work hours to meet regulatory
deadlines.
Desired
Masters degree in Statistics, Quantitative
Finance, Applied Mathematics, Economics or related
Minimum of 2 years of leadership and supervisory
experience.
Skilled knowledge of the regulatory environment
and the functional lines of energy utility
business including generation, procurement,
transmission, distribution and customer services.
Experience in case management, testimony and
report writing/editing.
Skilled in policy development, and PGE programs
e.g., electric or gas procurement, demand
response, energy efficiency, and other related
programs.

Responsibilities
Supervision/Leadership
Directly supervise, coach, develop and motivate 2
staff analysts to achieve department and Company
objectives in a safe, effective and efficient
manner. Develop and administer performance
evaluations for direct reports.
Support development and implementation of
knowledge retention strategies,
training/developmental programs, and a sustainable
long-term workload and challenging and fulfilling
career for direct reports. Encourage innovative
and progressive resolutions and outcomes.
Provide direction and oversight of work performed
by staff analysts in the areas of gas and electric
load forecasting and load research, and other
analyses in support of regulatory proceedings. May
also participate in development and/or revisions
of work products described above.
Prepare and sponsor expert witness testimony,
exhibits, workpapers, and discovery responses in
regulatory proceedings on issues of high
complexity and financial impact.
