Supports and assists in the development, preparation and maintenance of related systems, files and reports.Major Responsibilities:Performs assignments related to a diverse group of commercial REO assets. Tasks may include but are not limited to boarding new REO assets onto Automated Financial System (AFS), adjusting the asset values in AFS, processing sales, processing REO expense vendor payments, and monitoring f insurance coverage.Ensures assignments are completed within the established timelines, in accordance with the department's service level standards.Performs accounting functions and/or research using multiple modules within AFS. Additional research may be required using the Bank's credit approval and appraisal systems, and external vendor applications.Ensures tasks performed meet all regulatory requirements including OCC, Sarbanes-Oxley, OFAC, FDIC, FDICIA, REO Accounting Policy which is part of the Corporate Accounting Policy, SAD Handbook, and other Bank policies and procedures.Provide guidance and assistance to the asset officers and management to resolve discrepancies. Investigate discrepancies between the Bank's REO records and the loan records. Perform multiple tasks to ensure that accounting transactions are accurate and timely.Ensure that REO legal documents, such as the Trustee Sale Guarantee and Title Policy, are received in a timely manner and filed in accordance to the SAD Handbook.Trains junior staff on AFS processing routines, department processes and Bank policies.Continuously exercise sound judgment to protect the Bank against undue operational risk.Support asset officers, portfolio managers and management with the implementation of the Bank's objectives.Other responsibilities as assigned by management.Additional Information:Typically prefers a high school diploma or G.E.D;3 to 4 years of experience with residential/commercial real estate loans or REO;Strong personal computer skills required especially Microsoft Office; Excellent mathematical ability as needed to perform multiple step calculations;Must be capable of performing detailed multiple tasks on a regular basis;Well-developed oral and written communication skills; andStrong interpersonal skills and a self-starter.Union Bank is committed to leveraging the diverse backg
