Responsibilities
Owns development for complex features and applies
in-depth knowledge to turn requirements into
architectural and feature specs, and into working
high-quality code.
Provides architectural and technical leadership.
Researches technologies that complement and extend
existing platform.
Collaborates effectively with QA and Operations
teams.
Advocates for high-quality code craftmanship.
You will work as part of an agile team,
collaborating closely with Engineering and Product
Management leadership.
You will be critical of your work, and accept
input from your team and customers.
You will always strive to innovate and think
differently.
Requirements
BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent.
Experience with open source search and search-
related technologies such as
Solr/Lucene/ElasticSearch/Mahout.
Strong Java knowledge and experience, and a deep
knowledge of OO design.
Experience deploying and debugging web services
into application servers like Apache Tomcat.
Experience with test driven development.
Experience with agile methodologies.
Must demonstrate solid design skills and
programming logic.
Ability to receive and deliver constructive,
knowledgeable, and accurate feedback in a team
setting.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to learn
and adapt.
Strong communication skills ability to express
ideas and communicate with technologist and
business-minded employees and customers.
