<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Req Number 34198BRJob Title Senior Security AnalystJob Code and Payroll Title 0738: PROGRAMMER/ANALYST IVJob Code and Payroll Title 0738 PROGRAMMER/ANALYST IVLocation MCBDepartment Name Information Technology ServicesWork Days Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pmShift DaysShift Length 8 HoursJob Summary The mission of Information Technology Services (ITS) is to develop, integrate, maintain and support core enterprise-wide administrative systems that are owned by central administrative departments and are used by UCSF campus departments and provide vital communications services for UCSF; The function of Enterprise Information Security (EIS) within ITS is to provide the vision, guidance and skills to protect the interests and integrity of these systems and the communications network upon which they depend; Enterprise Information Security monitors and proactively protects the UCSF Intranet; provides a variety of information security options to protect resources on the UCSF Intranet from disruption, modification, and disclosure; provide information security awareness and education programs for all faculty, students, and staff; develop and publish guidelines for the secure configuration of servers and workstations; provide an emergency response team to address intrusion attacks, and establish a distributed (both centralized and departmental) security environment that provides secure information zones; EIS is responsible for the development of ongoing maintenance of information security policies, practices, procedures, standards and guidelines.The Sr. Security Analyst specializes in information security awareness, training and advocacy for the Enterprise Information Security (EIS) Department of UCSF; this position reports to the EIS Information Security Policy and Program Manager; primary duties include developing and implementing a comprehensive program to promote information security awareness, training and advocacy within UCSF; the incumbent will be responsible for interacting with internal UCSF clients and coordinating with other UC Campuses in the area of information security awareness and training; secondary duties include responding and assisting in resolution of information security incidents as needed; provide information security consultation to UCSF clients; and perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications BA/BS from an accredited University and a minimum of three years of information security experience, in an academic, medical or research environment; demonstrated experience in creating information security awareness and promotion programs; experience in various forms of media, including Web 2.0, online, video and print; requires bending, waist twisting, kneeling, crawling, squatting, climbing stairs; pushing/pulling over 60 pounds; reaching above shoulder level; sitting, standing, walking; carrying/lifting 31-60 pounds; gripping/grasping; loud noise, repetitive hand and arm movements; chemicals or toxic substances, latex.Note: Fingerprinting and background check required.Preferred Qualifications BA/BS in computer related field from an accredited University, preferably in information security aspects of information technology; demonstrated technical experience on a variety of platforms including Unix, OS X and Windows; experience in higher education, healthcare, or life sciences environment; Strong creative and marketing skills.License/Certification N/APosition Type Full TimePercentage 100%
