Serving individual investors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), retirement plans, and other institutional clients, the third party fund platforms are a centralized and shared resource for the firm. The National Accounts group within Third Party Funds is responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with these third party mutual fund providers. The group facilitates the addition and ongoing offering of funds in a manner that is consistent with Schwab’s guidelines, satisfies ongoing client demand, and generates appropriate revenue.Brief Description of Role:The Senior Specialist/Accounts Receivable will work at the direction of the Sr. Manager for the area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:* Establish rules in the billing system to create invoices based on contracts. * Identify and apply wire payments on a daily basis in PeopleSoft.* Monitor the aging of receivables and initiate collection procedures and all follow-up with fund companies, transfer agents and advisors.* Research and resolve problems or escalate when appropriate.* Manage relationships with internal partners, including Relationship Managers, Contract Administration, Fund Adds Administration, Cash Control, Corporate Accounting and Finance regarding all aspects of billing and collection of fees from third party partners. * Act independently to obtain information needed to answer questions, requiring minimal supervisor involvement.Technical/Functional Qualifications:* Bachelor’s Degree preferred.* At least 3 – 5 years finance industry and/or finance related work experience.* Knowledge of mutual funds and ETFs preferred.* Extensive knowledge of Excel.* Excellent oral and written communications skills.* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form, with all levels of management and build effective working relationships with business partners.* Exercise initiative and judgment in daily activities.Job Specifications:Relocation Offered?
