<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Under the supervision of the Program Manager
and/or other administrative staff, the Visitation
Specialist IVSI works with children of divorced,
separated and never married families, providing
supervised visits, and monitored exchanges. The
Visitation Specialist writes objective notes based
on observations during visits. The Visitation
Specialists work schedule includes working
holidays, weekends and week days/evenings, and
provides on-call coverage. Other responsibilities
may include compiling reports, conducting
intake/orientations of clients and their children,
writing and editing reports, data entry and other
responsibilities as assigned. The VSI is required
to work a minimum of one weekend day and one week
day evening every two weeks, be available to work
when on-call, and attend a monthly staff
development meeting.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience working with children and
family required. A Bachelors degree in
psychology, social work or related field
education may be substituted by 3-5 years of
expereince working with children and families
exposed to domestic violence required. Clinical
experience preferred. Prior experience working
with families in conflict preferred. Demonstrates
knowledge of child development, child abuse
prevention, or child exposure to domestic
violence. Demonstrates excellent written and
verbal communication skills, with appropriate use
of grammar rules and ability to edit documents.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word processing.
Detail oriented. Conflict resolution and limit-
setting skills. Team oriented. Able to maintain
professional boundaries and a courteous demeanor
in challenging situations. Bilingual/bicultural-
