The position is responsible for creating and implementing McKesson Health Systems strategic vision for this $20B market. This position will develop and implement business strategies affecting acute care, outpatient and long term care distribution business, including assessment of existing and potential markets, product life-cycle planning, definition of promotional activities and product launches. The position will be responsible for ongoing marketing efforts for McKesson Health Systems including responsibility for MHS Marketing fiscal year budget PL responsibility for 340B Manager, Pharmacy Performance Benchmarking tool, and other MHS fee-based products MHS marketing program development, implementation and management advertising and promotions sales force and customer communications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Member of the Pharma Group Marketing Leadership team that is responsible for developing the organizational policies and authorizing their implementation across the US Pharma Marketing function. Helps to create the Pharma group marketing vision and helps develop business strategies that support the vision.Works closely with the SVP, McKesson Health Systems to develop and drive strategic customer solutions.Works closely with Pharma COO and regional SVPs to adjust policies and procedures to changing market conditions.Interacts internally and externally with executive level management to negotiate customer/product resolutions under challenging circumstances.Carries overall responsibility for the driving customer and segment insights, co-leading the establishment and management of a segment-specific strategy including the definition and evolution of the customer value-proposition, and insuring consistent field execution and customer communications.Oversees products and program management of Health Systems and Alternate-site segments including 340B Manager, Pharmacy Performance Benchmarking tool, and other fee-based programs.Partners with Health Systems and Alternate-site sales leaders to drive customer retention and new customers through revenue marketing activities.Represents McKesson at key industry events and committees, including ASHP, PPO and GPO conventions.Communicates vision, strategy and specific initiatives at the annual National Sales Conference and other venues.Works across McKesson to drive success through product and sales collaboration with other McKesson businesses that have health system-facing solutions
