<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Title: Western Team Lead - Retirement Education SpecialistLocation: United States-California-San FranciscoOther Locations:WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION?* Monitors productivity of the Retirement Education Consultants within their region.* Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with Field Relationship managers, field acquisition team, plan managers and various internal and external business partners.* Seeks innovative ways to meet increasing demands, balance workload, and increase productivity within the education team.* Coordinates deployment and sharing of Education Specialists across territories to ensure adequate coverage during peak periods and to meet any client contractual agreements.* Reviews anticipated volumes, account development potential, and travel considerations.* Works closely with pricing team to obtain strong understanding of underwriting, pricing guidelines and contractual agreements.* Develops and maintains an assessment process for Education Specialists that will include a self-assessment as well as client, field management, and key home offices contact assessments.* Uses assessments as a tool for identifying training needs, creating development plans and addressing performance issues.* Coordinates development of tools and reports necessary to adequately measure productivity Education Specialists* Uses tools to enable Education Specialists to efficiently target accounts for development activities.* May assist the AVP of Retirement Education Team with projects as assigned* Is self-directed, works effectively with minimal direction.* Keeps management informed.* Focuses on and rewards results.* Seeks ways to increase the bottom line through increased flow and expense management.* Plans and manages an assigned budget for an annual territory meeting* Manages budget for assigned territory/division* Provides training and leadership for the Retirement Education Team* Manages day to day activities among their team.* Ensures team is on target relative to expenses and annual sales targets* Is the NASD/FINRA Registered Principal for Education Specialist on their team.Player Coach Role:* In addition, to management responsibility for others this position may have an assigned territory to provide enrollment and education support for all assigned plans within that territory.* Handle plan enrollments and education meetings according to enrollment guidelines.* Provides basic retirement planning and investment education for plan participants.* Focuses on increasing participation and average participant account balances through enrollment and education programs.* Encourages asset growth through maximum participation and through solicitation of qualified rollover monies.* Assists the Acquisition Team in sales presentations.* Is self-directed and works effectively in leading the team.* Keeps manager informed regarding work activities.* Establishes and maintains strong business relationships with targeted plan sponsors and with distribution.* Informs Plan Managers about potential service issues encountered in visits with clients.* Routinely and proactively communicates with targeted plan sponsors in an effort to increase enrollments and contribution levels.* Manages resources effectively and efficiently.* Is effective in a variety of presentation settings.* Commands attention and can manage group process during the* Minimum of 80% travel requiredWHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION?* Bachelor
