The DB2 West Coast team is seeking a Build/Packaging specialist who will develop and maintain automation frameworks that execute tasks relating to Build, Packaging and Test. This engineer must be able to debug compile, packaging and test issues to expedite resolution and delivery of the software development drivers. This role: - is accountable for the delivery of highly repeatable driver builds. - manages project builds to ensure that DB2 build best practice methodologies are applied to reach a successful delivery - works with and through teams across the organization to ensure that all dependencies are identified, committed, delivered on schedule. The ideal candidate will be a Technical Professional who contributes in the Build, Integration and Test of source code for the different family of products. This position resides in a fast paced development group where you would be challenged with constant complex Build and Test requests. The job will directly work with Linux, UNIX, and Windows Operating systems (LUW), and will require system setup, administration, and troubleshooting. Strong scripting skills (Shell, Batch, Perl), knowledge of programming languages (Java, C++) and experience with the Build Process and related tools is highly preferred.
