Overview
The Information Security Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide security framework to ensure that information assets are adequately protected. This position will be responsible for developing and supporting information security initiatives and operations. It requires a leader with strong working knowledge of information security technologies.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security program to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information owned, controlled, or processed by Atmel
Develop, maintain, and publish up-to-date security policies, standards, and guidelines, and oversee training and dissemination of security policies and practices
Manage the process of gathering, analyzing, and assessing the current and future threat landscape, and provide Senior Management with a realistic overview of risks and threats
Monitor and report on compliance of security policies. Report on enforcement of security policies within Management
Provide Operational management by working closely with internal IT, outsourcing partners and external service providers on corporate technology development to secure Atmel information, networks, computers, mobile devices and application systems.
Manage a staff of information security professionals, hire and train new staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide leadership and coaching, including technical and personal development programs for team members
Provide security communication, awareness, and training for all audiences, which may range from senior leaders to field staff
Consult with IT Executive Management to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation, and configuration of hardware, applications, and software
Develop effective disaster recovery policies and standards to align with Atmel business continuity management program goals. Coordinate the development of implementation plans and procedures to ensure that business-critical I/S services are recovered in the event of a security event.
Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, or plan the implementation of new or updated information security hardware or software, and analyze its impact on the existing environment provide technical and managerial expertise for the administration of security tools
Mandatory Skills
Strong hands-on knowledge and expertise on Network technologies
An excellent understanding of information security concepts, principles, and general best practiced
The candidate should also have interpersonal and collaborative skills and the ability to communicate security and risk concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
A high level of personal integrity and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters with proper judgment
Preferred Skills
Experience in application technology security testing tools
Good written and verbal communication skills preferable with CISA, CISM, CISSP, or ISO2700x certific==4000 ation
Education
A BS or BA degree in Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field is required.
Experience
8 years relevant information security and I/T experience including a high degree of technical security technology expertise required.
A minimum of three 3 years of supervisor managerial experience is required.
