Our continued success and growth has produced a need for Fire Alarm Service Technician position in our San Leandro, CA location.
Job Description
Perform inspection and minor repair of fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems products at customer sites. Inspect, test, and perform routine maintenance, including smoke detector calibration and various fire sprinkler inspection and test services.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of communication signaling and fire alarm systems, both conventional and addressable
Working knowledge of fire sprinkler and standpipe systems. Familiar with inspection procedures required by NFPA 25 CA 2006 Edition.
Minimum 3 years experience with inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
Notifier 320, 640, 3030 or equivelant Simplex, Siemens, and EST product.
Ability to obtain industry licenses required by national, state, and local codes
Ability to work overtime and be placed on after hours on-call rotation schedule
Valid drivers license with a good driving record
Knowledge of test equipment oscilloscope, multimeter, digital analyzer, battery analyzer, frequency meter, decibel meter, and communication devices
Nicet Certification preferrable
Calfornia Life Safety Systems Certification required
Basic Qualifications
Working knowledge of fire alarm systems, both conventional and addressable
Ability to obtain industry licenses required by national, state, and local codes
Excellent reading, writing, and comprehension skills
Ability to work overtime and be placed on after hours on-call rotation schedule
Able to work on ladders and scaffolding
Valid drivers license with a good driving record
