The company employs more than 40,000 people at approximately 300 locations in North America, South America and Europe.Georgia-Pacific Corrugated LLC in San Leandro, CA manufactures corrugated sheets for the Packaging industry. We are currently seeking a Maintenance E multi-craft mechanic/electrician to join the manufacturing team at this location. The facility is located in Alameda County approximately 10 miles south of Oakland International Airport.
Key Responsibilities Include
     * Install, repair and maintain equipment in a corrugated packaging plant
     * Completing mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance activities
     * Calibrating process instruments
     * Planning, prioritizing, and scheduling instrument and electrical maintenance with supervision and operations input
     * Diagnose and correct process control hardware
Candidates must have experience with
     * Installation, calibration, fabrication and preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment
     * 460-volt motors and controls
     * Troubleshooting and programming PLCs
     * Various other process controls
Other requirements include
     * Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others
     * Be able to perform tasks wearing required Personal Protective Equipment PPE such as Protective clothing, safety glasses/goggles, steel-toed shoes, etc.
     * Be able to understand, analyze, and resolve technical problems in a work area
     * Have a desire to learn and develop technical skills to keep current with changing operations
