JOB SUMMARY:

- Develop and maintain a channel and ecosystem
security partnership strategy completely aligned
to divisional revenue, Akamai Security Product
Management and Akamai Channel Sales organization
goals.*
- Actively recruit partnerships, either directly
or leveraging other functional groups in the
Akamai organization.
- Develop and execute various types of partnership
structures, including resell, OEM, co-sell and
joint development.
- Develop and drive negotiation strategies with
cross-functional teams to execute defined and
agreed upon strategies.
- Closely collaborate with the Security Product
Management organization to identify key
requirements to recruit, onboard and drive the
overall success of the security partnership
strategy.
- Closely collaborate with internal cross
functional team to develop and execute a post-deal
operational strategy and plan that ensures
organizational alignment with partner and
internally.
- Closely collaborate with internal cross-
functional team post-deal to ensure ongoing
execution and achievement of key business metrics
and partnership goals.
- Conduct ongoing research to identify, assess and
justify investment in new market opportunity
segments.
- Collaborate with Product leadership, senior
management and Corporate Development to identify
and support MA opportunities.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a Technical Discipline or
Marketing, MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience with product
management, technical product sales or business
development.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with internet-
related technologies.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in product
management, business development or equivalent
role focused on business-to-business partnership
relations in the online security industry.
Desired Qualifications
- Clearly demonstrable knowledge of Web security
market and service provider ecosystem.
- Demonstrated success recruiting, technology
product integrations and executing go-to-market
strategies.
- Demonstrated situational fluency, ability to
influence and motivate others, and perseverance to
handle challenging business situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
skills with the ability to articulate complex
technical concepts to a broad range of technical
and business audiences.
- Demonstrated results for driving a cross-
functional internal and external partner teams to
target outcome.
- Desire for on-going challenges and interest in
continuously learning about new security
technologies.
- Demonstrated presence in an executive senior
management audience.
- Clearly demonstrable knowledge in one or more of
these areas
- Security solutions and ecosystem beyond Web
security.
- CDN and application acceleration technologies.
- Cloud Computing ecosystem.
- Virtualization technologies.
- Previous experience in business development role
in a Web security company, MSSP, service provider
or systems integrator SI with equivalent
responsibilities to those listed above in the
Responsibilities requirements.
- Akamai experience a plus.
