In alignment with LivHOMEs mission, vision and values, the Caregiver assists the client with feeding and dressing, and provides supervision in accordance with the LivHOME Plan of Care.
Essential Duties  Responsibilities
Provides assistance with Activities of Daily Living ADLs including supervising, feeding, and dressing, and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living IADLs.  At least 80% of total daily work time is spent performing these duties.
oSpecific examples include assisting the client with bathing, showering, dressing, toileting, transferring and ambulating, and accompanying the client on outings.  Activities such as preparing meals and shopping may be included in this calculation when provided for the client only, not others in the home.
oAll other activities must total less than 20% of the Caregivers daily work time.
oImmediately informs the Care Manager if the client requires that assistance with activities other than supervising, feeding or dressing be performed more than 20% of their daily work time.
Completes timekeeping and client documentation in a timely manner.
Maintains a safe home environment for the client and follows all LivHOME safety and training guidelines.
Immediately communicates to the Care Manager any client concerns or unusual findings.
All activities must be performed according to the Caregiving Plan.
Satisfies annual continuing education as required by company policy or state regulation.
Other duties as assigned.
HOMEMAKER
Essential Duties  Responsibilities
Provides assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living IADLs, including housekeeping, cooking, cleaning, errands, and chores for the client and/or the clients family.
May provide minimal assistance with respect to Activities of Daily Living ADLs, such as supervising, feeding and dressing.
Immediately communicates to the supervisor all client concerns and unusual findings.
Completes timekeeping and client documentation in a timely manner.
Maintains a safe home environment for the client and follows all LivHOME safety and training guidelines.
All activities must be performed according to the Caregiving Plan
Completes a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Minimum of one year of experience providing care for an older adult.
Ability to satisfactorily demonstrate basic competency in all areas required by LivHOME policy and applicable state laws.
Demonstrated language skills sufficient to read and understand instructions, prepare and maintain written reports and records, and communicate with clients.
REQUIREMENTS *If you are not a CNA/ HHA you should have a minimum of 1-2 years experience working with seniors within a professional environment. Three confirmable, professional references supervisor, manager or instructor within the healthcare field.
Must be able to provide the following
Valid California Drivers License
Proof of auto insurance
Proof of TB test or Chest Xray- must provide prior to first shift worked
*Must pass National Background Screening and Drug Test
*Own vehicle and CA Drivers License preferred as some of our clients require transportation to/from appointments and/or errands to be run.
