<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Requisition Number 15112432Job title Production Specialist, iWorkLocation Santa Clara ValleyCountry City State Job type Job description This is far from your traditional production position.You will be a go between from the designers to the engineers.You will be translating designs into technical products (templates and themes).You must have impeccable production skills (layout, typography, color) and a portfolio to prove it (Need to see your production talent. e.g. color correction, tricky compositing of multiple images, or big points for tiling assets that are seamless).You have experience with all file format types, sizing graphics appropriately for screen versus print, and have an eye for color correction.You are able to manage your own projects and work under tight deadlines while maintaining production schedules.You are committed to do production, and not looking for a stepping stone to a design position.You think it would be fun to to create a one off build of an app to test your new files.You are detailed oriented and seeing any error in your work will drive you crazy.You enjoy a challenge and figuring out new ways to do things as efficiently as possible.You are able to communicate in clear concise manner (whether it be email, voicemail or face to face).You are easy-going, able to multi-task, can deal with tedious tasks and with multiple rounds edits, redos and scraping things and just starting over.We take comps from numerous sources (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and recreate them in the iWork Suite (Keynote, Pages and Numbers) or iBooks Author. The files created need to follow user interaction guidelines; we need to be thinking about how the end user will experience the template and the app.We take pride in all the work we create (from templates that are in an app to a spreadsheet we may use internally).We document how things are done. The process is constantly changing so we have to learn to think fast, adapt and brainstorm new ways to produce assets. We often work with Engineers to develop tools to do our job as effectively and accurately as possible.We need to anticipate our needs from Engineering so that we can work together to streamline everyones productivity.We often provide tech support for others on our team.We have to optimize content for memory and performance gains.We are often test users and often the first to discover flaws (whether it be debugging a crash in or realizing the user interaction may not be ideal).We test and troubleshoot all of our work to find even the minutest of things wrong and fix them. One pixel off is a big deal. Knowing color profiles and keeping them consistent is a big deal. Having all asset in the right format... you got it, is a big deal.Work must be done onsite. We want hard working team players.5+ years experience (This is not an entry level position.)Expert with Mac OS X, Adobe Photoshop, iWork suite (Keynote, Pages and Numbers). Knowledge of iBooks Author.Experience in software developmentKnow or willing to quickly learn: xcode, unix shell, terminal, how to check into svn, doing local builds, writing bugs, etcAble to work with Engineers to resolve problemsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDegree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or other design field
