Your will use design, simulation, prototype and experimentation to provide a cost effective and manufacturable thermal solution for the product. This would include package concept development, thermal mechanical simulation, measurement and validation. You would be expected to work within an integrated environment of thermal, electrical and mechanical engineering and be able to provide leadership to the cross-functional development team.The ideal candidate should exhibit behavioral traits that indicate:- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Effective leadership in a cross-functional development teamQualifications:You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through relevant previous job experiences.Minimum qualifications- Must have either an MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering- Minimum 6 years of experience in thermal and mechanical analysis and design.- Minimum 6 years of experience with packaging design.- Minimum 6 years of experience in least one thermal analysis SW (e.g. IcePak, FloTHERM, Fluent, STAR-CD)- Minimum 6 years of experience with Pro/Engineer (or equivalent 3D modeling software)Preferred qualifications- 10 years of experience in the above skill sets- 6 years of experience with optical transceiver thermal mechanical design- 6 years of experience in the below skill sets:- Heatsink fabrication- Fan- Liquid cooling- Thermal test equipment usage: airflow measurement, thermal scanner, temperature analyzer or data loggerJob Category: EngineeringFull/Part Time: Full TimeJob Type: Experienced
