In this role you will be accountable for the inspection of parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices.RESPONSIBILITIES• Inspects parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices.• Coordinate and perform AS9102 first article inspections of product• Perform dimensional inspection layouts using Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), height gages, calipers, micrometers and various other inspection equipment. • Provide feedback to engineering, manufacturing and suppliers as required.• Solder Inspection (IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 Class 3 experienceSKILLS• Must have direct electromechanical aerospace manufacturing inspection experience• Be able to write and review FAI reports in accordance with AS9102• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)• Must have ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and process specifications• Demonstrated knowledge and analytical skills for most types of inspection tools• Good team and communication skills, ability to clearly communicate results• Ability to train personnel• Computer literacy (Excel etc.) and ability to analyze data• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience required• Familiarity with CMM software such as PC-DMIS or CMM Manager a plusEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical inspector role• High School Diploma or equivalentThis position may require exposure to information which is subject to US export control regulations, i.e. the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of U.S. regulations.
