Continually works toward achieving patient satisfaction, productivity, financial and operational objectives. The Charge Nurse coordinates unit responsibilities, and supervises and assigns duties to unit staff. Reports directly to the Department Director.Position Summary:(Unit Specific)Responsible for directing the patient care provided and the performance of unit associates on the respective shift for adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population. Responsibilities include: the staffing and scheduling, supervision, mentoring, and clinical guidance of nursing associates on the unit, and fiscal, clinical, and quality improvement oversight of the daily operations of the unit. Serves as a leader in Continuous Process Improvement activities.Educational Requirements:Required:* Specialty certification within 3 years of obtaining positionLicense/Registration/Certification:Required:* Current and active CA RN license.* Current BLS certification.* Unit specific certifications and qualifications (ex: PALS, ACLS, Chemotherapy).* Current IV certification required. * At least one year experience in rehabilitation nursing.Preferred:Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing (CRRN).Dominican Hospital (a member of Dignity Health) is a 379-bed, dual-campus facility, which offers a wide range of services to residents of California
