Salary $70.00/hour

Under general supervision of the Medical Director the physician
evaluates and treats patients in the various Cowell Student
Health Center clinics. Clinical care by physicians at UCSC Student
Health Services involves urgent care for acute illness or injury,
and scheduled appointments for follow up, non-urgent or
chronic conditions, and health screening procedures such as
athletic clearances. Care at UCSC Student Health Services
stresses a developmental and educational focus, with a goal of
encouraging students to learn to take responsibility for their
health and become effective users of health care resources.
Qualifications include
Excellent generalist ambulatory care skills with
significant years of medical practice experience
Experience consulting with Nurse Practitioners NPs
and Physician Assistants PAs
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
tactfully
