The University Affiliated Research Center UARC located at NASA
Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA. is a partnership
between the University of California and NASA Ames. The UARC
was established to increase the safety, effectiveness, and
scientific impact of NASAs missions through the infusion of new
technologies and research knowledge. The UARCs primary
mission is to perform mission driven multi-disciplinary,
integrative research and technology development that supports
NASAs long term program requirements.
The worksite location for this position is at NASA Ames Research
Center, Moffett Field, in Mountain View, CA.
Qualifications include
Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or other related fields.
Experience and technical proficiency in control theory,
uncertainty, adaptive control and flight control systems.
Demonstrated successful experience pursuing a program of
research, such as by developing advanced algorithms.
Experience in writing and testing MATLAB codes.
Demonstrated excellence and creativity in research and
scholarship.  An established and rising practice-based research
profile demonstrated through publications and research projects.
