(NYSE:APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases and chemicals, is seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance-Diesel Mechanic for its Santa Fe Springs, CA facility.As a Vehicle Mechanic, the primary responsibilities will be to:-Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary on trailers and tractors-Document/record work performed electronically on the computer-Perform road repairs when necessary-Perform cryogenic pump maintenance-Perform electrical/electronic repairs and installs on tractors and trailers-Calibrate pump discharge meters-Load trailers-Minor welding and fabricating as required-Install and repair electronic equipment on tractorsQUALIFICATIONS:-High School diploma/equivalent-3-5 years strong diesel vehicle repair experience-Strong mechanical background, with above average computer experience/skills-Energetic, highly motivated and well organized, self-starter with strong commitment to safety-Strong team player with ability to work well with fellow mechs/drivers/operations personnel-Solid work history-Ability to drive a tractor-Ability to take rotating on-call responsibility-Welding knowledge and experience-Electrical troubleshooting skills on 12 volt DC circuits-Diesel engine troubleshooting and repair experience-CDL a plusAir Products (NYSE:APD) provides atmospheric, process and specialty gases; performance materials; equipment; and technology.
