JOB SUMMARY:

<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Industrial machinery maintenance workers are responsible for cleaning and lubricating machinery, performing basic diagnostic tests, checking performance, and testing damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary. In carrying out these tasks, maintenance workers must follow machine specifications and adhere to maintenance schedules. Industrial machinery maintenance workers use a variety of tools to perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance. They may use a screwdriver and wrench to adjust a motor, or a hoist to lift heavy machinery off the ground.
Description
Performs accurate and timely set up and start up of assigned production line includes performing routines, inspections and audits as required by this position
Operates, troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a production mode.
Performs preventative maintenance PMs and overhauls of equipment in a non-production
Makes general mechanical and minor electrical repairs to production and facility equipment
Performs general lubrication of production and facility equipment.
Performs plant/ facility and equipment housekeeping including proper cleaning of the equipments lubrication points after proper lubrication, maintaining the facility free of waste, debris, recyclables, etc.. This includes performing all clean up jobs as related to maintenance tasks, duties and functions.
Retrieves and orders spare parts and supplies as needed to accomplish work in a timely manner.
Enhances the facilitys PM program through recommendations and suggestions for procedures or processes.
Participates in departmental QCDSM meetings.
Assists, as needed, in other Maintenance Department functions and responsibilities, such as spare parts management, rebuilding of components.
Other duties as needed to meet the needs of the department, plant or business
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electronically controlled high-speed equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot production equipment to recognize and identify potential problems with equipment.
General lubrication knowledge to determine the correct lubrication/ application, including H-1 rated lubricants.
Have good situational judgment and decision making skills.
Must be able to work closely with any and all maintenance personnel, Production and Sanitation
Bilingual English, Spanish preferred.
Be able to work in temperature between 35 and 50 degrees.
Understand and follow company and site policies and procedures on Good Manufacturing Practices GMPs, Hold Tags, HACCP, USDA, Foreign Objects, Safety and Security.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
2 years 6 months High School/GED
