<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>As a Maintenance Technician you will responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of a 24/7 continuous flow manufacturing plant producing Continuous Sucker Rod. Primary duties include troubleshooting and repairing plant process equipment, working closely with leadership to provide technical guidance, as well as planning and scheduling repair activities.Perform work safely and recognize actual and potential dangers in the workplace, in accordance and to ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies/procedures. Actively participate in company safety and environmental procedures and programs: fully participate in identified workplace personal protective equipment requirements; correct unsafe work practices or situations; follow reporting protocols for violations and incidents; participate in the hazard identification initiatives. Understand and comply with national, provincial and local codes as they affect repair and maintenance, safety, equipment and structures. Provide functional coverage to production shifts. Understand thoroughly the operation of all equipment and systems within the facility, with the ability to mentor and educate Operators on the mechanical operation of equipment. Work collaboratively with vendors, suppliers, contractors and fellow employees to conduct repairs to facility equipment. Examine existing equipment and make recommendations: new equipment, repairs and/or modifications. Conduct regular preventative maintenance on all equipment within the facility; maintain accurate records of work. Plan, schedule and execute repair work; estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as required; maintain accurate records of work. Participate in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment and systems. Plan and lay out work assignments, from simple blueprints, sketches or verbal instructions. Fabricate jigs, guards and miscellaneous equipment from a variety of materials. Provide training, instruction and direction to apprentices or helpers assigned to them during the course of their duties. Complete required paperwork accurately and on a timely basis, including completed and outstanding tasks, and problems.
