<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Responsible for safely transporting patients
throughout the facility. Maintains all department
equipment and a safe working environment within
accepted practices. Must have current BLS CPR
certification. Candidate will provide various
methods of patient transportation. This includes
transport by wheelchair, gurney, use of the Hover
Mat. Will work closely with clinical staff to
escort the patient to various clinical departments
and through the discharge process. Attention to
detail is a must. Must be able to work effectively
with multiple departments. Will be required to
transport deceased patients to the Morgue. Must be
able to pass a criminal background check with
California Department of Corrections and transport
prisoners as part of daily job requirements.
Transporter will report to Manager of
Transportation who in turn reports to the
Assistant Director of Housekeeping and
Transportation.Previous Hospital Transport or
Guest Relations experience is preferred. Previous
Patient Transport or Guest Services experience
preferred but not required Previous Patient
Transport or Guest Services experience preferred
but not required. HSD/GED OR 2 years equivalent
work experience
