As the GDAIS Senior Manager, Program Security, West Region, this person is responsible for providing the highest level of program security support and leadership/management possible to Santa Clara and geographically separated program security professionals covering the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii and Washington. Manage Security activities, operations and numerous organizations through subordinate managers or directly through employees (managing approximately a 20 person staff). Establish operational objectives and assignments, and delegate assignments to subordinate managers / employees.  Involved in developing, modifying and executing GDAIS level policies. Work and solve complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation. Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation.  Ensure budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met. Regularly interact and support senior management or executive levels on matters concerning customers, functional areas, operations or divisions. Support internal and external customers from a business perspective as situations dictate, while balancing the needs and requirements of employees and managers.  Pursue every opportunity to assess, encourage and develop direct reports for increased responsibility and career progression; ensuring the team is properly staffed, highly trained, and technically competent. Foster and encourage teamwork with all regional security employees, co-workers, and senior managers whenever possible.  Responsible for administering, developing, planning, and implementing security education and programs for classified or proprietary materials, documents and equipment. Maintain currency on policy/regulations (internal and external) and ensure implementation of security regulations that apply to company operations. Coordinate with government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations. Review manuals, processes and procedures to ensure accuracy. Responsible for Western Region Self-Inspection programs and data collection requirements as necessitated by management. Support Security Directors and regional security managers across GDAIS.Bachelor''s Degree in a specialized area or field or the equivalent, and a minimum of ten years of experience in a related field; or master''s degree and a minimum of eight years related experience. Must have extensive knowledge of Intelligence Community customers. Department of Defense Top Secret/SCI with current investigation and CI polygraph security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
