<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Director of Health Economics & Outcomes Research, ex-USCommercial | South San Francisco, CA, United StatesSummaryTheDirector of Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)is responsible for the design, implementation, management and delivery of health economic/outcomes research studies, or programs to support ex-US commercialization of Onyx products and demonstrate brand value. In addition, this vital role will closely collaborate with medical and clinical teams to help shape and leverage clinical trials and ensure appropriate evidence generation in support of ex-US market needs.Essential/Primary Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:Essential/Primary Duties:* Develop, design, conduct, analyze and report health economic & outcomes research (HEOR) including cost-effectiveness, budget impact, HRQoL, and observational studies* Lead the development of value strategies and development of Global Value Dossiers;* Make strategic recommendations to the ex-US Regional HQ’s to support the value proposition of Onyx brands* Lead development of budgets and ensure appropriate staffing in support of developed strategies and company growth for area of responsibility* Effectively manage projects with external consultants/CRO’s/third parties to achieve project goals within timelines and budgets* Interface with thought leaders, academia and key stakeholders to develop research projects* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to review and provide US HEOR input for PhaseIIIb/IV clinical trials, marketing strategies, and managed care programs* Collaborate HEOR and clinical teams to review and provide input for Phase II and III studies from a US market perspective* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in development of AMCP dossiers* Maintain awareness of key ex-US healthcare market and needs of healthcare decision-makers to inform development of commercial strategies* Participate in ex-US payer forums and Interact with health policy institutions, payers and others to communicate health economic data and influence decisions* Develop manuscripts and prepare sophisticated technical analysis, while educating key stakeholders/account managers on the value of Onyx brandsFunctions and Responsibilities:* Build and maintain the ex-US HEOR strategy* Shape & leverage clinical trials for HEOR needs* Generate & communicate HEOR evidence* Development of Global Value Dossiers & economic models* Effectively develop, support and collaborate in partnerships and alliances* Influence without authority across the business, medical and clinical functions within Onyx* Effectively advise the business, medical and clinical leadersRequirementsWork Experience: * 8+ years of experience in outcomes research and/or health economics with a related graduated degree (MPH or MS); 6+ years with a PhD, PharmD/RPh or MD* Significant experience with key ex-US healthcare markets access challenges and changing health technology assessment requirements* Experience in high growth and rapidly changing organizations/environments* Experience influencing senior leadership, both individually and teamsManagement of Staff: * Demonstrated ability to develop strategies, execute plans and influence the business Customer & Industry Knowledge:* Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry a must* Experience with oncology products strongly preferred Education/Training:* MPH, MS, PhD or PharmD/RPh or MD or equivalent education Other Requirements: * Creative: generates new and unique ideas, makes connections between concepts* Resourceful: ability to use whatever is available to craft solutions and products* Outstanding collaborator: demonstrated ability to manage through change in a team-oriented cultureCompetencies * Business Acumen – knows how the business works; aware of both strategies and tactics to get things done* Innovation Management – skilled at generating and bringing creative ideas to market* Managerial Courage – says what needs to be said; provides curren
