We currently have an exciting contract opportunity for a Sr. Manager, Medical Affairs (Planning and Execution Management) working with our client based in South San Francisco, CA.Job Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):* Develops and maintains an in-depth understanding of the therapeutic area development and commercial strategies, plans and objectives.* Works closely with medical directors and other cross-functional partners to develop the 3-year and 1-year medical strategy, plans, tactics, budgets and other resource plans:* Co-leads and facilitates all medical team planning and decision making.* Works closely with medical directors and other key stakeholders to ensure the appropriate cross-functional representation and team members appointment on each medical team.* Works with team members and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of client strategies, plans, objectives and tactics with development, commercial and global medical affairs strategies, plans and objectives.* Co-leads process to develop the medical plan vision, strategy, scope, milestones, risk assessment and management strategies, product valuation, project investment requirements and success metrics.* Works with cross-functional partners in Biostatistics, Health Economics Research & Outcomes, Market Analysis & Strategy, and others to ensure the appropriate data and research inputs into medical plan strategies and tactics.* Works with project team members and other partners/stakeholders to evaluate and align medical plan strategies, objectives and tactics with pricing and access strategies and direction.* Works closely with medical directors and others to ensure incorporation of cross-functional programs and activities for robust medical plans and tactics.* Supports medical directors and other team members in development of executive and other critical presentations to communicate, obtain inputs into and approval for medical plan strategies, objectives, tactics and resource requirements.* Works with team members and other stakeholders to develop detailed strategic project plans (scope, milestones, roles and responsibilities, timing, budget, communication, interface and alignment with key internal and external partners and stakeholders, etc.).* Attends various cross-functional meetings and presentations, and/or presents at such. As assigned, plays the lead role in presenting the medical tactical plan to other partners/stakeholders to obtain inputs and approvals. * Plays a lead role, working with finance, legal and other partners to evaluate medical 3-year and 1-year plans, develop budgets and determine any legal or other administrative implications or requirements necessary to execute projects.* Works with cross-functional medical team members and other partners/stakeholders to implement project plans to ensure timely, on-target, and within-budget execution.* Builds and maintains relationships with key internal/external customers, partners and other stakeholders, includes global partners, strategic partners, KOLs, other thought leaders, etc.* Works with manager and other team members on key departmental projects, including standardized gMed Planning & Execution SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), other protocols, processes, systems, tools, etc. as these guide the work across multiple gMED projects and programs.* Designs, develops, implements and manages protocols/processes for medical team interaction, communications, business reviews and decision-making with others.* Oversees all project/program phases to help ensure on-time, on-target and within-budget execution.* Works with medical team members and other partners/stakeholders to plan and guide medical plan tactics development and execution.* Conducts proactive risk assessment and change control for all assi
