Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.PURPOSE OF POSITION:The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for the coordination, management, oversight and preparation of all financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting and analytical activities of the agency. The position will work closely with the CFO, the Finance Department staff and the Client Services Department. The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will manage a small staff in accomplishing the work. The position involves extensive development of new reports and analyses and extensive participation with clinical and operational functions.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Strong analytical background with superior Excel modeling skills.* Ability to demonstrate mature judgment, initiative and critical thinking.* Outstanding leadership and problem-solving skills.* Ability to build and motivate an effective, cohesive team determined to improve performance and service to all customers.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Ability to relate to diverse communities.* Ability and willingness to travel to visit Centers located throughout Los Angeles County.* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.* Requires valid driver&rsquo;s license and a reliable and flexible means of transportation.* Project management skills.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree required, MBA preferred.* A minimum of seven (7) years of administrative management experience in finance and accounting or financial analysis.* Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.* Project management skills.* Extensive experience in financial analysis, financial forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and cost accounting (preferred).* Health care accounting/systems experience preferred with a demonstrated familiarity with the principles of not-for-profit accounting.* Operational perspective, operational analysis and strategic planning experience highly desirable.* Demonstrated ability to perform detailed analysis quickly and accurately.* Experience working with accounting, purchasing, billing and health center staff.* Strong presentation skills with the skill to articulate financial concepts to non-financial personnel.* Strong systems background required including but not limited to Great Plains Financial, Microsoft Forecaster, FRx Report Writer or similar applications.* Good organizational communications, interpersonal and supervisory skills are essential.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:* Detail orientation with an understanding of the big picture.* Adheres to Agency&rsquo;s Policies and Procedures and protocols.* Oversees the hiring, coaching, management and evaluation of staff in the department.* Ensures that financial analysis and reports are completed accurately and in a timely manner.* Acts as a resource in providing management through leadership in issues of cost, revenue, productivity, operational efficiency,
