Provide quality patient care by providing contraceptive, prenatal and abortion education and assessment. Facilitate referrals to internal and external referral sources. Bilingual Vietnamese required.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:1. Dispense medications and contraceptive devices as per physician/clinician or standing orders. Maintain medication logs and prenatal inventory.2. Provide quality assurance review, assuring adherence to care plan and completeness of records.3. Provide laboratory tests as needed, including phlebotomy. Review lab reports and initiate follow-up.4. Provide information and education regarding reproductive health care; family planning, pre-term labor, labor and delivery, breast feeding, postpartum care, abortion procedure (surgical and medical) and discharge instructions.5. Provide backup for Nurse Practitioner as appropriate during medical emergencies.6. Assist with clinic upkeep; sterilization of instruments, clean lab and exam rooms, set up and re-stock rooms as appropriate.7. Adhere to all OSHA requirements.8. Perform monthly chart audits.9. Assist with programmatic marketing efforts.10. Assist with Clinic Assistant training skills.11. Meet productivity goals of center.12. Orient and train new registered nurses upon request.Abortion Duties:1. Perform appropriate lab work, RH testing, may start IV’s. 2. Provide contraceptives.3. Abortion referral and counseling.4. Provide abortion services.5. Schedule appointments for family planning including but not limited to contraceptives and abortion services.6. Provide Abortion referral and counseling.7. Assist and support the clinical staff in the:The provision of contraceptives,The provision of abortion services. 8. Review medical history.9. Assist Doctor when needed. 10. Perform recovery room responsibilities. 11. If trained provide conscious sedation or ultrasounds.12. May be required to take after hours call once trained to do so.13. May provide specialty services (i.e. prenatal, vasectomy, etc…) at discretion of manager.14. May be deployed to other sites in case of low volume or provider need including San Bernardino County locations.OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:1. Act as resource person to medical staff.2.
