Conduct vendor training and outreach vendor activities. Establish on-going communication with WIC authorized stores. Conduct food price surveys of WIC foods upon request and quarterly visits.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Program/Service Delivery:1. Work under the direction of the Nutrition Education Training Manager, to ensure that WIC program activities are in compliance with CA and USDA WIC policies/procedures. Provide feedback on potential areas for participant and/or staff training needs. 2. Provide local WIC stores with resources and materials to assist with everyday operations. Provide technical assistance to support basic vendor processes, regarding provision of the vendor agreement.3. Coordinate vendor activities with other WIC agencies. Provide feedback on upcoming WIC changes to vendors. 4. Monitor vendor for program compliance questions. Respond to WIC vendor complaints about other WIC vendors. Notify the State WIC program when vendors are suspected of fraud and abuse.5. Attend WIC-sponsored trainings and seminars, as assigned.6. Record all vendor contacts in the WIC Local Vendor Liaison Tracking Center. Share comments and questions from the vendor community with the State WIC and management team.7. Discuss and resolve WIC-specific shopping or customer service issues between the WIC authorized vendors and WIC participants to benefit all partners.8. Assist WIC Sites in operations, client flow, functions (e.g., food instrument stock security and control, reports and supply inventory) and assist staff to assure clients are served in timely manner.9. Assist the Center Manager in WIC outreach activities within and outside agencies. Assure internal and external referral systems are operational and efficient for clients. Provide agency with new community contacts to better serve the clients.10. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the WIC Department Director.OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1.
