Position Summary:This position is responsible to oversee Centralized Availability and Transportation Customer Service. To ensure availability statuses are updated in WebEC in a timely manner for all facilities and accountable for accurate and timely delivery of containers and loose freight for drayage customers. The National Customer Service Supervisor will oversee the collaboration and documentation of work processes as it relates to Inland Transportation.Essential Responsibilities:* Monitor and ensure timely updates of container statuses including allocations are performed by availability staff in WebEC* Maintains constant communication with the customer, brokers, carriers, vendors, other DDSI offices and departments, in order to maintain a good working relationship and resolve issues* Working with the carrier base, seeking mutually beneficial working procedures - I.e.: trailer pools - continuous move opportunities - live unload etc: as well as documenting carrier performance* Preparation of monthly reports outlining inland department performance ; documenting successes as well as areas which require improvement* Attain demurrage information from SSL and Terminals, get necessary approvals to cut checks, and update Demurrage logs for Finance department.* Ensure customer service staff complete daily audit of Webec Yard management reports to avoid per diem charges.* Report back to Manager on any level of service failures of availability or customer service* Follow up with Customers periodically to ensure service level commitments are being meet* Review billing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness; ensure bills are paid promptly and accurately and customers are invoiced correctly and timely* Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all customer service related processes.* Oversee tracking, tracing and reporting of inland performance; serving as a conduit between internal and external customers* Monitor level of service requirements (FIFO) for the specific customer products (SKUs).* Participate in management meetings and facility committees as required.* Supports the company&#39;s commitment to Integrated Management Systems (IMS) certifications.* Performs job related duties as specified by management* Bachelor&#39;s Degree preferred - Two years industry experience* Most work well within a team environment* Strong analytical skills* Able to work independently* Self-starter attitude* Must possess excellent time management skills to manage high volume in a fast-paced environment* Excellent customer service and communications skills* System knowledge - ability to learn and work with several systemsMust have work US work authorizationDamco Distribution Services Inc.AA/EOE/M/F/D/V
