JOB SUMMARY:

Application Selection and Development Identify
key applications that are emerging and important
to the product. Work with key opinion leaders to
collaborate with to develop these applications and
maintain the applications funnel.
Marketing Program Development Determine
marketing tactics and develop marketing campaigns
to promote products, ensure that proper collateral
is available to support marketing activities that
drive demand generation and generate sales leads.
Responsible for resource capacity planning to
deliver marketing programs.
Sales Support Maintain relationships with key
customers to develop them into reference customers
to help sales in a region or globally.
Collect Voice of the Customer VOC and Market
Trends - Identify, document and communicate why
customers buy and how they use Thermo Scientific
products to all parts of the organization.
Provide feedback on new features needed in a
market to the product lines. Identify, document
and communicate market trends to all parts of the
organization. Mine CRM data to identify trends
and track performance of products and assess
effectiveness of marketing campaigns in increasing
market penetration.
Strategic Planning AOP Complete a competitive
landscape analysis and prepare material for
internal distribution. Define product strategy by
region and vertical markets in collaboration with
regional managers and local commercial operations.
New Product Development NPD Assess needs of
customers in various end markets and provide input
into NPD cycle to create solutions that will gain
market share. Contribute information to Product
Managers for the creation of marketing
specifications and assist in development of value
propositions. Provide requirements to software
teams.
Pricing Work with commercial organization and
regional market managers to ensure local pricing
is aligned with marketing positioning strategy.
Product Commercialization Support Assist the
commercial channel on sales calls to select
customers to generate leads. Maintain
relationships with key customers to develop them
into references on a regional or global basis.
Coordinate with sales and market managers to drive
our seed program. Provide point of contact for
Key Account Management and create and deliver PMB
related to solutions/products.
Market Management Determine which segments of
the market to focus. Develop positioning and
supporting material to market complete solutions
of our targeted products.
Marketing Plan Execution Complete monthly review
of product team objectives versus plan and produce
marketing KPI pack to ensure achievement of the
marketing plan.
New Product Introduction NPI Create the value
proposition for new product introductions and
validate with key customers. Create material and
deliver training for NPI. Responsible for
execution of NPI plan and targets.
Sales Training Create and deliver training
material to the sale organization to keep current
on market trends, products, positioning by segment
and customer.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Interaction with Other Employees level of
contact, purpose and frequency
Interacts with Product Management, RD,
Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, Marketing,
and Commercial teams.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Requires a Bachelors degree in Chemistry,
Biological Sciences, or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a
customer facing role marketing, applications,
field support required.
