Experience must include requirements development and definition, 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing creations, procurement, manufacturing, and operational support of MGSE. The candidate must be familiar with industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards and apply them to mechanical and structural designs. The candidate must have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME Y14.5. Candidate must have a flexible design approach and be able to take direction from senior engineers and also work independently as required to develop design concepts, create detailed models and release 2D drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and have excellent communication skills. Travel may be required.Desired skills IDEAS CAD experience.Familiarity with A2100 ATLO processing.Specific Job Description Candidate will work in a collaborative environment to develop and deliver the next generation of common Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) used to improve spacecraft processing flow and eliminate high risk activities. The candidate will be required to support the technical lead in coordinating with government and commercial programs/spacecraft to identify and develop requirements and design concepts for successful common MGSE implementation, and creating detailed models and engineering for fabrication.
