The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge base and experience in structural/dynamic/vibroacoustic analysis, must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work and lead in a team environment, and must have the ability to obtain an SCI clearance.Desired skills The candidate should be competent in statistical energy analysis (SEA), and competent in the VA-1 vibroacoustic analysis tool. The candidate should also be experienced with spacecraft acoustic analysis and testing, with shock and vibration isolation systems and mitigation approaches, and have experience with subcontractors supporting component shock and vibration testing.Specific Job Description Perform structural dynamics, vibroacoustics, and shock analysis on complex spacecraft components and structures. Develop acoustic, random vibration and shock requirements for component specifications. Support testing, and review and analyze acoustic, random vibration, and shock test results. Generate analysis simulations of spacecraft components and systems using finite element tools such as NASTRAN to simulate structure and environments and derive requirements. Develop modal dynamic finite element models, determine loads, and perform load cycle analysis. Perform spacecraft dynamics analysis including separation mechanics and jitter.Standard Job Description Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
