<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Job Description: Test Specialist - Functional TestHours: 2pm-10:30pm, TUES - SATURDAY, plus OT and some weekend workThe Functional Test team is responsible for timely execution of test protocols and system configuration for Power Conditioning and Control hardware. The team member is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all internal customers, co-workers, and others as appropriate. The team member is also required to maintain continuous communication with their direct manager.Role and Responsibilities:- Follows test protocol and manufacturing processes- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish multiple goals- Performs many complicated work-related tasks - Requires no direct supervision for daily operations based upon training- Maintains a questioning attitude towards anything resembling a quality defectTechnical Skills:- Operates specialized test hardware, software, fixtures and configuration tools- Performs in-process analysis of hardware operation and data points during testing and notifies the team of irregularities- Strong ability to troubleshoot and debug electrical components within a system- In depth understanding of how to properly operate a multimeterSkills and Experience:- Required electrical experience (one or more of the following)- Four years military experience in a related field - Four years of equivalent industry experience- Strong electrical aptitude- Must have a strong ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams- Familiar with controls and instrumentation systems- Professional & collaborative - comfortable working closely with a team- Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization in a verbal and written manner - managers, co-workers, support services, electronic communications, et al.- Experience using a structured problem solving process- Organizational and planning skills- Computer savvy - MS Office, Command Prompt (Basic)Other Considerations:Safety:- Ability to properly verify a system de-energized which contains AC, DC, capacitors, etc.- Operates in a safe manner in accordance with published safety guidelines- Wears appropriate PPE in accordance with company guidelines and job duties- Adheres to work hour policy guidelines- Reports all work related accidents or injuries immediately to the appropriate personnel- Completes annual safety training requirements as defined in safety training guidelinePerformance:- Completes all work in an efficient and timely manner- Makes strong decisions, technical and commercial, under pressure- Maintains proper level of internal communications - Leads by example and maintains the highest standards of professional integrity, in all aspects of job requirementsWorking Conditions:- Flexible schedules (shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays)- Hazardous environmentsPhysical Requirements:While performing duties of the above jobs, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or other components; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. The associate frequently is required to sit and climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
