JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate processing of authorized invoices recording, updating and reconciling related financial information.
Providing assistance to ensure that invoices are paid accurately within established time limits.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Inputting, batching invoices, AP Aging monitoring
Weekly payable reconciliation of steamship lines, Line Haul Carriers, truckers and related vendors
Distributing invoices for internal approval and tracking status to ensure timely payment.
Investigating and resolving vendor inquiries and/or discrepancies.
Assist in Month end closing and year end closing
QUALIFICATIONS
3 years min. experience preferably with a Freight Forwarding company.
Strong Quick Books Pro and MS Word skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Prefer candidates that understand Logistics, Cargo shipping terms
Compensation $16-18 hr. depending on experience.
