<tr><td valign="top" width="450"><b>Future Opportunities - Alignment Specialist Description The Alignment Specialist is responsible for being able to professionallydiagnose and repair vehicle systems under MAP guidelines to promoteGoodyear''s high customer satisfaction levels. This position has beencreated for stores that maintain 15-20% of alignments per month. TheAlignment Specialist performs work as outlined on the repair offer withefficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership, factory andGoodyear standards. The AS aligns wheels, axles, frames, torsion barsand steering mechanisms on vehicles. Additionally, the AS correctssuspension and alignment problems and performs mechanical repairoperations including diagnostic checks, tests and removal and repair ofmechanical and electrical parts. The Alignment Specialist must completeadditional projects as assigned by the Manager. Driving guest vehiclesis an essential function of the job.Requirements * High School Diploma or GED preferred* Valid driver''s license is required* Must be at least 18 years old* Ability to lift an object weighing up to 60 pounds.Tasks * Drive customers vehicle onto hoist or jack in preparation for removing wheels from vehicle or fitting new tire to wheel. Follow established processes in performing Goodyear''s standardized Vehicle Maintenance Inspection.* Meets all standards for Alignment Techs including ASE Certified in steering and suspension, ability to repair vehicles under MAP guidelines and ability to diagnosis and correct alignments.* Uses Protective Safety Equipment when operating machine and manual working tools and ensuring that the environment is safe for self and for other associates working.* Completes training assignments and performs work The Goodyear Way.
