Additionally, this individual provides support to the store management team; performing manager-on-duty functions and is responsible for opening and closing the store.The Department Manager will be responsible to observe, coach and provide feedback to associates on their use of the 5-Step Selling Process.You will also be responsible to achieve departmental and store established goals for planned sales and profit. You provide input and feedback for the completion of performance appraisals, and assist with the delivery as well as the developmental feedback to the associate.The Department Manager also participates in the interviewing and selection process of newly hired associates who will be assigned within the Department Managers area of responsibility
