The list developed from this recruitment will be used for a limited period to fill regular full-time, part-time and promotional positions throughout the County, should they occur. Under administrative direction, serves as medical director for the County department of Mental Health, including the supervision of all medical staff. Incumbents in this class serve as a member of the management team, provides medical consultation to all division employees as well as direct service to clients. Examples of duties include but are not limited to the following h Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with policies, procedures and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring and training, planning, assigning and directing work appraising performance rewarding and disciplining employees addressing complaints and resolving problems.h Provides direct psychiatric care to hospital patients. h Provides direct psychiatric care to day patients. h Provides direct psychiatric care to CONREP patients. h Provides direct psychiatric care to out-patients. h Performs other related duties as assigned.
